4. Participant Responsibilities

Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically able to participate in chosen activities and for bringing appropriate gear as recommended by Muskeg Minds. It is your responsibility to inform us of any medical conditions, dietary restrictions, or special needs that may impact your participation, well in advance of your service date. Participants must follow the instructions of Muskeg Minds guides and staff at all times, especially concerning safety protocols and environmental guidelines. Disregard for safety instructions may result in removal from the activity without refund.

5. Safety and Risk

Our services often involve activities in wilderness environments, which inherently carry risks including, but not limited to, exposure to extreme weather, encounters with wildlife, and remote locations with limited access to immediate medical care. While Muskeg Minds takes all reasonable precautions to ensure participant safety, by participating in our services, you acknowledge and accept these inherent risks. A waiver of liability may be required prior to participation.

6. Changes and Cancellations

Muskeg Minds reserves the right to make changes to itineraries, accommodations, or activities, and even to cancel services, due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, natural disasters, political instability, or insufficient participation. In such cases, we will offer alternative arrangements or a refund in accordance with our specific cancellation policy provided at the time of booking. Participant-initiated cancellations will be subject to our cancellation policy, which typically involves forfeiture of deposits or prorated refunds depending on the timing of the cancellation.
